Frequently asked questions
Everything you want to know before contacting us
The service
What exactly is Patric Lorenzon & Partners?
We are an Italian wine brokerage and consulting agency, active since 1999. We connect selected Italian producers with international buyers — importers, wineries, retailers, supermarket chains, wine shops — negotiating the best conditions for both parties. We are neither producers nor distributors: our role is to facilitate the deal and ensure everything runs smoothly.
How much does your service cost?
Our fee is a commission on the transaction, agreed before starting any activity. No fixed costs, no advances, no surprises. If the deal does not go through, you pay nothing.
Can I come to you both to buy and to sell?
Yes. We work with both sides of the supply chain: buyers looking for quality Italian wines, and producers looking for commercial outlets — in Italy or abroad. In both cases, our approach is the same: listen, select, negotiate, close.
What languages do you operate in?
The team assists clients in Italian, English, French, German and Spanish. This is not a translation service — it means having team members who know the sector and know how to conduct commercial negotiations in the relevant linguistic and cultural contexts.
Products
What product categories do you handle?
We handle the entire Italian wine supply chain: fresh grapes, musts, fermenting wines, bulk wines (generic, varietal, IGP, DOC, DOCG), bottled wines, organic and biodynamic wines, concentrated rectified musts, Rossissimo and grape juice.
What are bulk wines and how does logistics work?
Bulk wines are sold in large containers — typically tanker trucks, IBCs or barrels — and transported by road or container ship. Logistics depend on volume, destination and client specifications. We coordinate the entire operational chain: customs documents, analysis, transport and delivery.
What is Rossissimo?
Rossissimo is a wine produced from Ancellotta grapes, characterised by an intense and deep red colour. It is used in winemaking for chromatic correction of red wines lacking colour, harmoniously completing the bouquet.
Do you handle certified organic wines?
Yes. We have an established selection of certified BIO producers, for both bulk and bottled wines. All producers guarantee full traceability and compliance with European and international regulations. We are a reference point for importers and retailers seeking certified suppliers with stable volumes.
Can I request a private label?
Yes. For bottled wines it is possible to request either the producer's brand or a client private label. We manage the details with the producer directly.
The process
How do I get started?
Simply write to us via the contact form or directly by email, indicating the type of product you are looking for (or want to sell), approximate volumes, target market and budget. We assess feasibility and contact you to define the details.
How long does it take to receive a proposal?
It depends on the complexity of the request. For standard requests — bulk wines with known denominations, volumes in the usual range — we can present options within a few working days. For more specific or seasonal requests (fresh grapes, musts) timing depends on the production calendar.
Do you visit vineyards?
Yes. Vineyard visits begin every year in July, to assess the vintage directly on the ground before harvest. This gives us first-hand information on production trends and allows us to anticipate opportunities or challenges.
Do you attend international trade fairs?
Yes. We have a regular presence at WBWE Amsterdam, IBWS San Francisco, IBWS London, Vinitaly, ProWein and Bulles Expo Paris. Our attendance is operational, not promotional: we meet buyers, close deals and monitor market trends in real time.
